What My Mission Taught Me About First Impressions
I served an LDS mission in Cambodia, and it’s where I really learned how much presentation, tone, and how you carry yourself matter before someone even gives you a chance to speak. There were plenty of times walking the streets thinking, “if they’d just give me a chance,” and realizing that chance is earned in the first few seconds, not somewhere down the line.
